hurd logo + gentoo logo

2006-10-17 Some work has been done during this months, and actually the correct combination of hurd+gnumach+glibc is needed to perform a stable boot. Working on this. Gnumach package needs an update, to be able to use the new automake stuff. Will be glad if someone can automakefy hurd!
2006-02-13 Glibc works. It isn't FHS compilant, have to make more builds to achieve that, but as it take long and works, i'm goint to avoid this task for later.
2006-02-12 Glibc built and packaged, just took 4h25m the final build in my athlon-2600! (still need to tune the ebuild a bit). Now its time for gnumach and hurd. Had no time to change the HD, but started playing with a new web. Some "core" packages like openssh are built and working too :D
2006-02-07 4 packages are needed now: Glibc, Gnumach, Hurd, Python, to be able to boot and use emerge; but seeing that python builds but doesn't want to work, i'll be happy if I can get a bootable system with the binary packages, so we can start playing and patching the hurd and such things. And I have a new 40GB HD to play :D
2006-02-05 Fix dates (hey, its 2006! happy new year :S). Managed to build python-2.3.3 but doesn't work. Some core packages to be able to boot hurd are OK (baselayout for example), but actually having problems with glibc and with other trivial packages like sandbox (perm errors, builds fine patched).
2006-01-26 Some "big" packages emerged correctly: perl (extra patch), gcc-3.3.6, binutils-2-15. Things are going OK, hope I can boot something this weekend :P (and maybe a new web...)
2006-01-21 Portage located under www.mundurat.net/ggh/portage binary packages included. Not too much, but hey, its just the begining :P
2006-01-19 First web publised, just to keep a track of the progress.
